Man. It's not like I don't understand why someone would have decided to kill her this week, but I thought she was going to talk to the overseers about putting her back in that barrier tonight so her monster couldn't hurt anyone. Kind of sucks that we didn't get a chance to try it.
The overseers might not have been able to do that without blocking the cult's view of things, though. And they're definitely going to start digging if they realize there are periods of time where they can't see us. [quietly, like. this fucking sucks.] I just... I don't know. I understand why it happened, but I wish we could have found a way to save her.
Famine had said it was something they could try when I asked them, at least. I think the concern would have been less about the cult finding out and more about the question of whether the barrier would actually stay up during that time since so much other stuff gets weird.
[ nods. he doesn't know shit about magic, but that seems reasonable. ]
So there's probably a good chance it wouldn't have worked, but... I still wish we knew that for sure. I don't know what other possible options there could even be.

To be honest, I don't know if there even is another choice. It feels like all we can do is just... delay the inevitable or get it over with.
