[ Whole-ass human spine! Wow. It's really bent in on itself though, shrimp-style. Whoever this belonged to had shit posture.
He just looks up at her because it's hard to not notice people in such a cramped building. He doesn't seem mad about her presence or whatever though. In fact, he seems incredibly neutral? Or whatever you want to call it. There's actually just a distinct lack of any reaction at all, beyond acknowledging that she is here. ]
[this is build-a-god workshop and we're assigning whoever gets this spine scoliosis.
anyway, she doesn't know what to do with this blankness, so it takes her a moment to figure out what to say. after a second or three of looking back at him:]
[ Funnily enough there is a vague flicker of wondering if she always called him Greengrass or not. Apparently he has enough room to wonder about other unrelated things. ]
Him and a number of the rest of you.
[ Everyone converging on the ferris wheel, CYOA returns are always so funny like that. ]
[looks at his thursday evening/friday morning with my future sight and closes my fucking eyes]
I think the effects are at least partially based on the injuries it's healing, but... [Better safe than sorry.] Think about it if it gets too bad. It should be safer to use after the execution, anyway.
[he will not be here after the execution..........................]
[cannot believe we accidentally split up the toxic hets i want a redo of w4 wtf]
Right. Just be sure to ask for help if you need it.
[but, anyway-- she did have some questions to ask beyond just fretting over his swiss cheese flesh. glancing at the spine and the mysterious second item in his hand.]
[she will not make a comment about it, considering that she already knows the sad dead wife lore by this point. but there's a little, sympathetic oh coming through her thoughts.
just pretend it's for the spine.]
You could hear voices coming through the door, right? [frowning.] We tried using my power on that room, and all we got was the feeling that it's somewhere out of reach. Which is the same feeling I got from the letters we got yesterday, too, actually. That they came from somewhere out of reach.
... There's a lot of places out of reach to us. Where the Overseers stay. Where the cult really hides out. All the past areas we'd been to that we can no longer access.
Wherever that place is mentioned in the journal page I suspect was written by Mr. Nehan's hand.
To be honest, I've been wondering if the reason why that room feels so ominous is that you went somewhere near the cult itself. Like... maybe those are ingredients we've been stealing from them somehow.
That's the leading theory from what I can discern. They're physical components required for them to summon their foundling god, and our blood will be the medium that connects it all, possibly.

We somehow always show up where something is happening. [it's almost like there's an announcement channel...] You're avoiding the swamp, right?

I'll keep it in mind. Worst case scenario, the Monday will be difficult but at least I'll have half of Sunday to sleep it off.

Are those from the trip...?

Yeah. The spine was in the strange room that everyone kept mentioning. So it's probably a piece of what you talked about.
[ The other item in his hand appears to be a ring! He won't make a comment about it if she doesn't. ]
