Yes. Which is why I can confirm the existence of certain powers out there, namely -- manifestation of an object, induced bloodthirst in another, evidence creation, and being able to see the vote spread during or after a trial.
Beside that, I think we're aware that amorous and odious feelings are more than likely a monster power of their own... body swap as well. We also know that healing is likely one.
I hear that animal transformation and body modification -- as in enlarging a body part -- are also an example.
Aside that, I'm working on what Gumiho may have been. Based on what I read in last week's libraries, they're spiteful creatures with the power of illusion... based on the vote scry I saw, there was no reason for Karlach to be the second-most voted. My initial thought was that Caelus could have had multi-weight voting, but based on the illusory factor, I think evidence creation could be a possibility as well.
What does "examining an item for more information" entail, exactly?
[she furrows her eyebrows while taking all of that in. like, damn daaniel. this is a lot.]
... You really lucked out with your power. [I'm almost a little jealous...] Mine is exactly as it sounds. If there's an item I want to learn more about, I can examine it and get this... sense about it. For example, that's actually how I knew that the items people keep bringing back from their trips are meant to be used in a ritual. I can also learn who wrote something when I see it, or at least I can tell where it came from.
I can't use it during trials, though. So I've been trying to learn more about the ritual itself.
Most of them were a bit useless to me personally. Obviously I'm not going to invoke bloodthirst in another person... the evidence creation, I thought would be helpful to call forth a piece of evidence we hadn't discovered yet, but it turns out it's exactly what it says on the tin and nothing more. It fabricates evidence. More helpful to a murderer than to the one solving it. The vote scry is how I came to my hypothesis regarding Karlach's placement, but that's about it. Maybe I should've saved it for after the trial instead, but I'd wanted to see the progress and distribution in case we found both and needed to organise something quickly.
[ He nods though in regards to what Asa says. ]
...That's a pretty smart way of using it. That makes sense why and where you'd gotten that information.
As rough as the trials are... that's all just fester. The quicker you can close the actual wound, the better.
... That was a smart move, though. Anticipating the way votes are starting to line up would be useful if we ever need to coordinate a tie or sway people away from voting for someone who has a partner.
[too bad they don't know who actually has it. godspeed, whoever you are? hate to say that she preens ever so slightly when he says it's smart, though. this dumbass teen.]
Ah, well, it still feels a little disappointing that I can't use it then. But never mind that. Could you tell me if you end up summoning my power one day? I know who my partner is, so if we coordinate between us, we can get a full three uses out of it without accidentally checking the same things.
[ Listen, the short of it is that nobody was in Prehevil by choice and in good circumstances. ]
...
[ Home... I wonder if the Baron left me anything in the will. If not, what happens to the estate...? Maybe it's better if I'm not. It's been long enough. Wouldn't the police have found the bodies by now? ]
Um. I guess you could go home with someone here if you wanted to? I haven't asked the overseers if it's possible, though. But someone else might have already. [...] Did... something happen to the people you were living with?
...It's all anyone can really say to me, isn't it? Not that I don't understand. I don't expect anything more, obviously -- that would be pretty ridiculous and I wouldn't even know what I'd want to hear instead anyway.
[ He sighs, soft. ]
Sorry to put a dampener on things, but... "going home" is a bit of a difficult option.
You don't need to apologize. It's... not exactly the same. But I know what it's like... Losing everyone but just not going home doesn't feel like a real option, even though we'd only be going back to something awful.

Sure, but I can only hold onto one a week and I can't choose what I end up with... so can't promise anything.

[though the rng power lottery may not be so kind.]
Do you already know what power you got this week?

Is the other ditto still out there...?

Found out the hard way after Aqua's execution.

Wait, weren't you also cursed from the swamp and from trying to leave the execution that day?

Think if that were the case, it extends to far beyond this place.

They died.
