[ upon the two of them finding each other, a glow will suddenly emit from both of their bodies. magic will course through them, and they will both feel that they have a wish waiting to be granted.
additionally, they will sense their power has grown: in addition to their current power, they may inspect a piece of evidence in trial for more info. ]
she clears her throat when she's done, grimacing.]
I hate this curse. [DON'T PUPPY PLAY HER...] Ugh, anyway, about our power... I've checked the pyre, the posters, a letter someone received and one of the items people brought back from their "trip."
Um... The pyre turns blue while we're wrapping up our investigations because that's when the overseers start their ritual. The posters are made by the magic of this world itself, as a reaction to someone dying. The letter... It was a prank so it's not relevant, anyway. But I learned the items people found are meant to be used for a ritual, so we need to hang on to them.
There's a piece of scroll somewhere that's relevant, I think... But I haven't found the original. Just a copy someone shared with me.
The bible was full of scriptures I've never heard of, with... goat noises. The trees in the swamp are very sensitive to things like magical disruption and dimensional weaves. They've awakened thanks to a recent disruption and now they're doorways for new spaces. The swamp's magic is ancient, primordial and powerful. It's not good or bad -- it just is. It gives back life back, but leaves a mark on whoever it heals. And the room those body parts come from.... it's too far away.
Which piece of a scroll? The one about the god being a baby? And what letter?
The letter isn't relevant. It was just a prank someone played on one of the others here.
[but coming through her thoughts— that piece of crap.
she will not elaborate.]
But yeah, it's the scroll about the fledgling god. I learned that examining something in writing could tell me who wrote it, so if I find the original copy, maybe I could figure out if that information is trustworthy.

[ relieved happy bark? ]
[ also going to try to take asa's sweaty hand ]
I checked the swamp -- the healing thing, and also the tree. And the bible. And I tried to check something else, but it didn't work.

yuffie may take her hand and asa will share her findings in a second, but — they're glowing? and not in the damn girl your skin so smooth kind of way.
asa opens her mouth and all that comes out is a very startled BARK BARK BARK.]

[ If anyone wrote that as a prank, they'll be joining them... still cheerful because curses suck ]
I think I might be able to get that for you.

I don't think I can tell you who doesn't have a partner... But if I die and you don't have one, Laudna can probably help you.

It just means she knows a lot of people. If I can't hook you up, she's the next best thing.
